double page spread progress..

Photos:
For the photos on my double page spread, i have diecided to use just one biggest photo on the right side. I deiced this on the fact that i wanted this picture to strike out when my audience were looking at it.
This was the picture i took at first.

I then edited the colours to make it look alittle bit airbrused. I also added to the saturation to give it the stricking look i was going for.

I then fliped the picture over to it was to the right, this made it easier to place and it also sorted the hair out that wasnt cut very efficently.

This is my double page spread at the moment, i like the layout and the colour scheme throughout so i think that this could be my ending product but changes with the writing styles and layout may be changed.

Contents progress..

Photos:
For my contents page this is where you will the most amount of photos, although i dont want it to look crowded. I have deiced on a layout of a college of pictures but down the middle of the page. These pictures, may be of just one person doing different poses or of 5 different people/things.

When i started off designing my contents page, i designed it to be quite boxy but when i started to start the layout on the computer i realised that my inital idea wasnt going to look good, so i decided against the boxes.
Here is what it looked like when i first started the layout..
I then changed my whole idea, and colour scheme. This is my developing contents page.
The fonts will be changed but this is going to be my ending product.

Magazine developing - Sketches.

These are my sketched ideas of my front cover, contents page and double page spread.

This one is my front cover. The main picture will be a close-up of my main artist and a quote of what they have said under and across the bottom of that.
Next to the picture in the left side column will be a quote from another artist in the magazine.
Also there will be a collage of pictures of a location to say that you can win a comp to win a trip to here. My idea is london as that it were my artist is from.
Lastly on the left will be a small paragraph of something from the fashion genre that is somewhere in the magazine.

This is my contents page sketch and i have diecided on spliting the word 'contents' into three sepearte bits as i think this gives it a real unquie feel to it and adds to the difference of my magazine.
At the top corner of my magazine there will be a quote from an artist that appears in my magazine, next to it will be a number and this will be the page number that this artist appears on.
On the left hand side of my contents page will appear 6 or 7 small pictures, these will be of models and location shots. This gives it an original feel and also makes my page look less boring to the target age group.
The writing of my contents page will be on the left hand side in a box, the writing might use different fonts throughout to give it a different feel.

This the left hand side of my double page artical. This side will be used to write my main artical. I have chosen to write it all on one side so that my target age group are not destracted my loads of pictures flooded on both pages.
The artical will include speech grabs of what my artist will say. These will be in big speech marks, not only to show that they are quote but so that the readers see them straight away.
My main title will stretch onto both sides of the artical, i think i may use a quote of my reader as this makes my artical more about the artist and not about the journalist. It also adds abit of originality as this is what i want throughout my magazine.

The right side of my double page article i where i will place the pictures. My idea is to have one big picture of my artist and then three to four smaller pictures underneath, something like a comic strip.
